Zivanai ("we", "our", "us") is operated by Vibex Technologies (Pvt) Ltd. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and share your personal information when you use our dating application ("App"). This policy complies with the Cyber and Data Protection Act (Chapter 12:07) of Zimbabwe and follows international best practices for dating applications.

2. Information We Collect

We collect the following categories of personal data:

Account Information: Email address or phone number (one is required to register), password (stored as a secure hash — we never store your actual password), and verification status.

Profile Information: Name, age, gender, bio, occupation, education, religion, height, zodiac sign, totem, languages, interests, dating intent, and relationship preferences.

Photos & Media: Profile photos you upload, stored on our secure servers with unique identifiers. Voice notes and image messages sent in chat are also stored.

Location Data: City-level location for matching purposes. We do not continuously track your GPS location. You may manually set your discovery location using the Passport feature.

Usage Data: Likes, passes, super likes, photo likes, matches, messages (text, voice notes, images, and GIFs), message requests, and interaction history within the App. We also record when you were last active and your online status, which may be visible to other users.

Device Information: Push notification tokens for delivering notifications. We do not collect device identifiers for advertising.

3. Contact Information & Stealth Mode

If you enable Contact Stealth Mode, we access your phone's contact list to prevent people you know from seeing your dating profile. We process contacts using one-way salted SHA-256 hashing — your contacts' phone numbers are immediately converted to irreversible hashes using a cryptographic salt and are never stored or transmitted in plain text. We do not use your contacts for marketing, advertising, or any purpose other than the Stealth Mode feature. You can disable this feature at any time.

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, we permanently delete your profile, photos, matches, messages, and personal data. To prevent trial subscription abuse, we retain a one-way hash of your email or phone number after deletion — this hash cannot be used to recover your actual email or phone. Some anonymized, aggregated data may be retained for analytics. Email and WhatsApp verification records expire after 15 minutes and are automatically deleted.

Zivanai is strictly for users aged 18 and above. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. Users self-declare their age during profile creation. If we discover that a user under 18 has created an account, it will be immediately terminated and all associated data deleted.

The Zivanai mobile app does not use cookies or third-party tracking technologies. We do not serve advertisements or share data with ad networks.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. We will notify you of significant changes through the App. The "Last Updated" date at the top indicates when this policy was last revised.
